DFW roll call

I don't blame you on leaving the traffic in the rear view mirror. Sounds like a good ride I'll join you in a couple weeks when I get some of these projects caught up that I let stack up over the winter.

Was out for a morning ride today. Went north-east of McKinney to Westminster.
Found out that Big Slicks closed down two weeks ago.
Supposedly TABC shut them down for serving under-age...
Also heard that Loose Wheels (Dennison) has closed down too.
The Texoma Medical Center Hospital bought out all the land.
Bummer.

That is weird about Big Slicks. Thought it was owned by a Plano cop?
I will miss that place. It was an old-school kinda hangout. I was going this weekend but it's raining in Texas in August - unicorn weather.
Hope someone with a liquor permit and clean record re-opens the joint.
Business opportunity.

DFW area Bikers:
There was a group called "RidingThirsty.com" that I rode with a few times. The rides got too large as far as the number of riders in the group, I don't think they're still a website, or maybe they just moved to Facebook.
Also, there is Bikerornot.com I met and rode with folks there for a while. We would meet at Strokers and other places, and do rides. It was good for a while, then the website got bought out and everyone I knew got all freaked out when they found out that pictures posted on the website could be found on the websites albums. Anyway, our group of members on the website dwindled down to nothing. Again. I think they all found some forum on Facebook to hang out.

It's pretty much the same inside, except they have opened up the back area, made it a patio with a bandstand. I was told they have live music on the weekends. I had a burger and fries while I was there, it was good. I ran into friends there and we rode over to The Revel in Frisco. The Revel (therevelbar.com)
Also, some Aussie guy opened a custom bike shop next door. North Texas V-Twin - Home | Facebook
