Tentative route. This might be tweaked a little as time gets closer, but this will give everyone an idea of what the ride will be like.

Day 1: will be from Bloomfield, NM to Delores, Co. 145 to Ridgeway and Ridgeway to Durango, CO. Spend the night in Durango. Approximately 270 miles. (4 passes).

Day 2: Durango to Salida, Co. via 160 to South Fork then 149 to Gunnison and 50 to Salida. Night in Salida. Approximately 295 miles. (4 passes)

Day 3: Salida to Evergreen via 285 to Leadville with a side trip up Independence Pass. In the Leadville are there will be side trips up other passes in the area Tennessee and Vail, then I-70 an 9 to Fairplay (Hoosier Pass) then Fairplay to Evergreen via 285. (Kenosha Pass). Approximately 305 miles.

Day 4: Evergreen to Mt. Evans via 103 and 105 then back to I-70 to 6 and do the loop to Silverthorne. (Loveland Pass). Silverthorne to Hwy9 to 40 to Walden, then 14 to Ft. Collins. Cameron Pass. Approximately 280 miles.

Day 5: Ft. Collins to Englewood via 34 to Grandby and 40 to I-70 then I-70 to Englewood. Trail Ridge Road and Rocky Mountain National Park Fall River Pass, Milner Pass, Berthoud Pass. Approximately 320 Miles.

Day 6: Englewood to Pikes Peak via I-25, then 115 to 50 to Salida. This will take us through Canyon City (Skyline Drive) and Royal Gorge. Approximately 270 miles.

Day 7: Salida to Bloomfield via 285 to 17 to Antonito and Chama, NM then 64 to Bloomfield. (La Manga and Cumbres Passes) Approximately 275 miles.

If anyone had suggestions, questions or input please let me know.

Will start blocking rooms in the near future. Looks like lodging is going to be 75 to 110 per night depending on the location and what kind of deal I can make.

If everyone that has contacted me ends up going I would guess 10 or so bikes with a few more people.

Who's going ?

Charlie, great you are going to be able to make it. Look forward to seeing all of you again.

So far Whiskers, Sidecar, Peek-a-Boo-Bob that we know. Also rug204, cficole, Nevada72 and a couple of others that I can't remember right off. There have been others that have expressed interest, but were uncertain. Some of the Arizona crew along with CaptainJohn were talking about it but I haven't heard anything recently.

There are also two friends of mine that are not forum members that are thinking about going.

I'm figuring to leave 8/7, also, and hoping Bob will, too. I plan to visit friends in Conifer, Fort Collins, and a cousin in Cheyenne, before coming home.
