how do I remove my battery from under the seat on my 2012 Sportster

Its a huge PITA the first time you do it, after a couple times things will get easier.

Just watched the video. I find that way hard unless the newer Sportsters have a longer negative cable.

I disconnect the positive then take off the negative cable from the top of the engine (block? - see pic for area) then the battery can be pulled out with the cable attached.

Don't forget to PULL THE MAIN FUSE first. There's no sense in putting your scoot's electrical system at risk.

Yes, every time I read my service manual that makes me laugh. They are warning you about death every chance they get. It's quite funny because most of it is common sense.

... which can be in short supply for a few folks. MoCo just doesn't want to get sued. Life is dangerous and invariably will result in death
