My previous 04' Sportster
Howdy all. Just wanted to share a few pictures of my 04 Sporty that I sold back in March. I put a lot of work into this bike and turned just about every nut and bolt myself with exception of the cam install.
I originally bought it as a project bike in 2011 for $2500 right before I shipped out to Korea for a year. At that time, it was bone stock with 12" apes and in pretty bad shape, all the chrome was pitted and it wasn't cared for very well. I spent my time in the mid East researching and buying parts for it online. When I returned from the 365 day tour, I took a month of leave and started turning wrenches.
I had plans to do a wide glide raked front end and a 200mm rear tire kit but when the Breakout came out, I decided to go that route. In the end, I sold it here in England (current duty station) for 6K pounds which is roughly $9400. I sure do miss it though.

Thank you and I know, I was quite impressed myself when it went for my asking price within 2 days of advertisement. The currency conversion from the English pound to the US dollar is around $1.63 to 1 pound.
If you get a chance, check out ebay.co.uk and you will see the price that 1200cc Sportsters go for out here. My bike was in near mint condition when I finished the build, I restored/replaced just about every part on it.
