Looks good! I'm just now getting back into riding after parking the bike and selling the air ride over a year ago. I now have stock shocks back on it now but I'm quickly missing that air ride setup.

That XS is killer. I had one but sold it prior to ever finishing it. I regret that decision almost daily.

The bike looks amazing !! the paint looks great, all the small details are great. I love love bobbers and 48's. I was looking very hard at a gold 48 before I jumped on my SB.. Congrats on the bike keep up the good work!

Thanks

Here, the more I use the air ride the better I understand it and it's a good product in my opinion. I didn't run the guage I got with the system (it's ugly) but I have a pretty good idea of the sweet spot now, air all the way up and once it hits full height hold the compressor on for another 2-3 seconds and that's a firm but compliant ride.

I am really happy with how the bike worked out, big bike show tomorrow here in Sydney so I will take it out for that, then start looking for my next project which will be an late 90's sporty hardtail build.

What a project! I have really enjoyed the pictures and that "actual pictures" not just smart phones quick pics. The painted tank idea it outstanding! I have seen several bikes with a paint style like that on instagram and i must say no one bike i have seen has the overall feel of love and passion like your bike.

I have a nightster with stock bars, i am thinking about maintaining the stock bars, i find them very comfortable for width/hight/feel just wondering about those dropped mirrors... i absolutely love the look of the mirrors below and the bars on the nightster look similar to the bars your 48 came with, agree?

Did you use a special mounting bracket?

Hi Tophat, the mirrors come like that stock on a Forty Eight, but I believe it can be done on your nightster.

The bars on mine are Biltwell Tracker bars, very similar to the stock bars but lower rise and less pull back.

Awesome job!

Really like how you mounted the number plate, is that just the stock mount that you've modded?
