If I could weld , I would love to fab up an exhaust kinda like this.
http://shop.rycamotors.com/harley_sp...e_exhaust.html
Reminds me of the Buell Lightning I once had.
It would be pretty cool to see on a naked style custom bike.
I would add a turnout tip to get the heat off the rear tire though.
Looks like you have a keen eye for style/function which shows in your work.
Very cool.

Hell yeah mick! I was thinking bout that style! I even looked around to see if the buell headers would fit the sporty. Since I have the "low" and my planned front end might lower it even more .. I am thinking ground clearance might be an issue. Gunna have to break out the measuring tape!

As for Drewbone, thanks for the support! I am very happy there are some dudes here like you guys that "get it".

Here are some of my billety bling bits from other projects.

F'n eh, now that's what I'm talkin' about!!

So, I take it you're a machinist...did you perform the engraving on the lowering top triple clamp? I gotz one just like it ['cept it was store bought and sans the engraving] on my 'Busa. Anyway, I can see the similarities between it and the design on the foot guards of the Honda nekkid' bike. Most times a persons designs tend to follow along with them in most everything they do, like a theme...and it ends up being their trademark ;O)

This is refreshing to see...there's nothing quite like designing and fabricating your own work out of necessity, after looking to see how to improve things, to be different, or just for plain fun and showmanship.

[Insert: Austin Powers voice overdub]" Yeah baby, yeah!!"

Nice work!

=8^)

Hahah Thanks DrewBone! Yes, I did the engraving on the top triple clamp. I drew it by hand, scanned it, and CNC engraved it. The dog head is my business logo. I plan on making some unique new sporty parts! I am in the middle of selling my house right now and finding a new one, so sporty work will be slow for now, sorry for the tease!

Took the dinged crash bar off today and finally solved the mystery of "how in the hell is this considered $7k worth of damage !?!"

Crash bar tore off the frame bung. Good thing i have a TIG welder and can do the $7k weld bead it needs! Har har.

Finally getting settled in the transition garage, time to get to work!

Got some drag bars en route, going to mount them under the triple for a nice clean low look. Gotta figure out how to mount the bar ends. Ive noticed most Harley grips cover the end of the handlebar. Im going to try and pop off the ends of mine and see how it looks.

Anyway, this morning i cut out a coin. My company commander in the Army commissioned me to design a coin for our company. I came up with a design but we could never come up with funds to get them produced. Now I can CNC machine them and did one in brass this morning.

The brass is a nice contrast to the aluminum Military Challenge coin window timing cover, which happens to be my first official mod for the sportster.

I also make these covers for my friends and family in recovery for NA and AA coins. This one is on my friends custom big twin

Finally got rid of the zbars with huge risers that felt like they were for a rider with tiny t-rex arms. Took it for a 120 mile ride on the zbars and felt incredibly cramped.

Got some drag bars, but the risers were still too much. Still in the middle of moving so i dont have my bandsaw here yet, so out came the hacksaw!

Now my cables are way too long. Anyone want to trade their stockers for my longer ones?

Still have to drop the gauges and headlight

Nice idea. Can't wait to see it completed. Here is a picture of my bike that I sold recently.
