Nice one skin, looks low and mean. I like the front end set up.

Once I get your headers, i'll post an exhaust teaser!

Started on my exhaust, the can will be shortened significantly once I finish welding the headers. Also made a new AC cover out of brass.

Didn't want to buy rearsets, so I flipped the passenger mounts around and they work perfect. Had to make a new shifter lever, GP shift pattern now! Here is the prototype.

Also prototyping the gauge cluster / headlight drop kit. Drops them both about 2" and looks pretty slick with low bars.

I dont know. I like it. I think once its all welded up and he has the custom rearsets positioned it will be pretty cool...unique to a sportster to say the least.

I was impressed with your previous work, and I look forward to seeing this finished. Hard for me to picture a pipe of that diameter looking "right", but we'll see.

Kinda neat , but the primary tube length will be a bugger to get right.
You would end up with a "pretzle" front pipe to get a primary length match.
If you mounted it behind the right footpeg at an upward angle (like a D&D Bobcat) your tuning would be simpler and the styling would still be a "one off" custom look.
Neat looking muffler though.

Speaking of pretzels, Thanks to Mr. Eric Buell who did all the hard work for me.

Found a crashed set of XB9 headers and chopped them up, rewelded to my liking.

Here is the can mounted and cut to length. Still need to make the billet end cap that will bolt to the engine. Incase any of you are wondering why everything is tucked up so much, I didn't like all the other 2-1 systems that supported the can from the frame, while the headers are attached to the engine. This system is mounted solely to the engine, so the whole system will vibrate in tandem and not try to destroy itself while riding.

Thumbs up

Well done Dogmeat! My Buell XB12R approves......

It's a shame there isn't another more elegant solution to achieving equal length pipes, as they are the gateway to significantly increased performance, as Erik demonstrated so effectively.
