So it's nice here today in southern Va and I'm off work so I went out to ride my 06 1200. It started up but cut off when I went to start it again nothing! It was dead! No lights in the speedometer I turned the key off and could hear noise from the speedometer that it. When I turned the key back on the noise stopped but nothing. Please HELP I want to ride today if I can!!!!

Did you read the troubleshooting section of your owners manual or service manual?

Check your battery connections. Make sure they are tight....next look at your fuses.

+1 on checking battery connections.

Most likely cause is your battery. How old is it? If you are lucky, it would be as simple as charging or replacing the battery and God forbid if you are at the deeper end of ****, it could be a bad stator or something even worse (I hope not).

This cracked me up. And no offence ... I am guilty of doing it once as well.

Checked the battery connections, it started right up the first time. And the fuses are all OK.

Cool! Hope you're out riding!

When you get a chance, get some dielectric grease on those connections and keep em tight!

I like to check my battery connections from time to time. They like to vibrate themselves loose.
