Leaking Oil Tank
I believe my 2012 mod 48 has the same oil leak. It has always been stored in an unheated space here on Long Island, NY.
I first noticed the problem last September and assumed I had over-filled. Cleaned the area and still saw wet oil. In fact I first thought it was from the rear brake cylinder since it was on top of the cylinder where your photo shows the drips.
I just took the Bike out of storage and will be checking but the wet area on the same looks to be the same.
I have not had luck with Harley on failed items. I still have two new Fuel Level Sensors from my new Digital Tach/Speedo that they have refused to replace although they have redesigned the units. I ended up buying two new ones made before the new ones were available. They Harley simply said " we often simply replace for no real reason.
Expensive Tachs!
