2000 sportster...installing new front fork seals, what size PVC pipe do I need to seat the seals into the lower fork tubes???I would like to buy them before I take the bike apart so that I am all ready for the job and won't have to make a trip to the store with the tube in my hand...

 

I use 1.5" PVC, about 8" long, split in half lengthwise.

 

On my 2013 I used about a 3 foot piece of 1 1/2" PVC (white plumbing type) as I had the forks off the bike.
Just used it like a slide hammer as it was pretty stout.
