Default Oil Leak - Have you see this one

Hey Guys, have you seen this leak on a 2008 1200C. I don't see any oil leaking from oil tank, head, exhaust flange. Thanks!

could it becoming from the hole that the cable for your stator comes out of? maybe the silicone isn't sealing good any more?

Wow, My 08 1200N is doing the same thing. I just figured it was the primary vent.

If you're sure it's not coming from the rear cylinder base gasket...then

My first guess would be the primary vent. Second would be oil coming from your head vents.

I lit up this area of the bike with 10000 candlepower light. There is no oil source leaking from above this wet area.

Is there any way oil could be leaking from around the starter?

As I said on the other forum you posted about this, it's hard to tell from this pic.

My first suspicion was the rear cylinder base basket as it appears that there may be oil where the arrow is pointing in the pic below. While wind can blow oil around, it doesn't normally tend to flow uphill. If the vertical surface where the arrow points is wet, that's likely the base gasket. If not, then you're likely back to the tranny breather hose or possibly the starter gasket but that's a rare problem.

You don't have any oil dripping from the bottom of the air cleaner or push rod tubes do you?

My 2008 1200R (Roadster) leaked from the rocker box gasket and left a drop of oil in and about that area.
At 7,000 miles I had HD replace the gaskets on both cylinders. HD charged $330.00.

If my bike sits for a week or two, the first ride will always weep a bit (mainly front base gasket), then it's fine after that. I don't have painted cases, so a quick wipe with a rag and it's gone. Seems pretty normal to me so I haven't worried about it.

Looks like the base gasket to me, try cleaning up the whole area with soapy water and dry it real good then go for a hour or so ride at slow speed around town so the wind doesn't blow it around then have a close look for where it's starting to weep.
