Default 2015 1200x cat. removal

just got my first HD sporster 48 1200x and was wondering if anyone just remove catalytic out there stock pipes and if switching stock to aftermarket pipes do u have to install a fuel pack or will o/2 compensate thank you very much

Welcome to the forums.
It is generally accepted that you can do mufflers without any problems.
The mufflers will never allow enough airflow , because of the air filter restriction of the stock AC.
Once you open up the air filter , you can then produce enough flow that the ECM can't "quite" compensate fully for the increase.
If you were a fairly conservative rider , you might be OK anyway , but a tuner would be the best way to compensate "properly" for further mods.

If you do it post the process! Not super difficult, DK Customs shows it in video form on their TTi inserts.

well i removed the cat. rode it around but to loud but really didn't feel any performance loss bike felt normal thanks for the infoe

The easiest way to tone them down would be the DK TTI inserts.
Certainly not expensive for sure.
