Default Show me your pre '04 projects!

Hey guys,

It seems that the 2004+ models reign supreme nowadays. With their frame style and extensive aftermarket, it appears as though these things were produced to be turned into beautiful bobber projects. So, my request to all of you is to help inspire a guy with a 1992 Sportster!

I'm mostly curious to see tank location, exhaust pipes, and handle bars!

Let's see 'em, folks!

Thanks!

Mine is a 01 1200c . Has 5 inch risers and drag bar. I want to get some riser extensions from dk customs to raise it another 2 or 3 inches, then get a tank lift.

Hey,
Thanks for the post.

Hoping other people contribute... we're a dying breed, apparently.

My 02 883 XLH

This is what I started with……

…… and this where I am now.

Mods are too numerous; you can follow my build threads here:

XL Forum: My Multipurpose Sportster

and here:

advrider: My Multipurpose Sportster Build

I wanted to create a REAL "standard" that could handle daily commutes; long road trips and weekenders. It needed excellent ground clearance to take on twisty's, multi surfaces and the occasional adventure riding I plan to do in the near future. It's coming together nicely; just needs a few more additions and it will be ready for just about anything. I'll be making some long overdue post's on my latest mods in the next few days.

Regards

Rod

That rigid frame makes me drool.

As for the following one, that front tire really brings it together. I'll be sure to check out the build threads!
