Default Seventy Two mod pics?

Anyone have any? New to the board and to the bike. I don't have any immediate plans for changes. Just wondering if others have done anything for aesthetics, performance, etc.

I was seriously considering the 72 but ended up going with a 48 instead. Had I gone with the 72 I would have made most of the same mods I made to my 48 (not all these mods on are my 48, but most are;

Shave the front amber reflectors
Flip the mirrors so they are under the bars like the 48
Relocate the front turn signals to the forks
Clear or smoked front turn signal lenses
Push the mini apes forward
V&H Big Radius Exhaust or 3" Slash Cut slip-ons
Hi-Flow Air filter
FuelPak
Biltwell Sporty 8 solo seat
Flush mount gas cap
1 1/2" Haedlight Trim Ring
HD Derby cover
Tank lift
Ignition/Coil relocation

Just some ideas.

Nice bike btw....love the 72's.

Thanks! I loved the 48 too but after living in SoCal for 8 years the 72 just gave me that nostalgic CA feeling. Loving my bike, other than it's pretty much winter here already. Your bike looks fantastic, well done.

I have an 01 1200 custom and its very similar to the 72 minus the smaller tank and the apes. Mine has risers and drag bar and 3.3 tank. But has the 21 laced wheel and forwards like the 72 . I really dig the style, nice bike. You need to come back to cali man its 83* here today!

I'd love to move back to CA right now. It may be in our future in a couple years. Just forgot how pricey it is to live out there.

Thanks! I like the look as is for now. But if I decide to switch I'll let you know.

We have thousands of Customers with 72's that have done some great mods. Here are a couple of them for you to get some ideas-

Of course we're biased and see the DK Custom mods first, like the Coil/Key Relocation, the Speedo relocation and the tank lift.

But this guy has also deleted his front fender, done a nice aftermarket seat, put some apes on it and some Iron Cross mirrors.

Here's another 72-

It has the DK Custom Beefy struts, Outlaw HiFlow 587 Sano Black Air Cleaner (with some custom graphics), Coil/key relo and a Tank Lift.

Both of the bikes have also done wire tucks to get rid of the ugly plastic above the engine.

You can see hundreds of High Impact Mods for Sportsy at our website HERE.

Many of our mods are for aesthetics, but just as many are High Impact on performance, like the Outlaw HiFlow Air Cleaner Systems.
