Default DK CUSTOMS THunder Torque Inserts - w/ V&H 3" Slips

So I've tried searching the forums and trying to see if anyone has used this combo - so far only found them used with Thunder Header ones (and modifications had to be made).

Has Anyone used the DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts with Vance & Hines SLip Ons? Did you have to drill a bigger hole or did it just replace the existing bolt that holds the baffle in place?

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure with all the V&H Exhaust you need to slightly enlarge the bolt hole in pipe. Can easily reuse the stock baffles if desired after with simply using a washer to compensate.

DK has posted before the V&H require the hole to be enlarged. I have the same pipes and used http://www.smartpartz.com/ to quite the cruising decibel down. Let us know how the DK's sound when you get them instaled.

Yeah.....thing is I don't want to drill. Cause what if I don't like the sound? Then I can't reverse the process.

Drill separate holes in a different location. Heat shields will cover it up if you remove them.

As others have stated, the hole in the Vance and Hines exhaust is a little smaller than our 5/16 stud. You can either drill that out a bit, or just drill a new hole in the slip-on for then thunder torque insert to go.
