Question Front end Wobble '13-48

Recently I have started to notice a wobble in the front end, mainly when riding on a flat surface 40 to 50 mph, I don't feel it when both hands are on the bars but if I take my left hand off I can feel it.

Yesterday at a lower speed I briefly removed both hands and the front end started wobbling heavily, I checked the disk, caliper, front axle bolt and all are tight.

Anyone have any suggestions where I may want to look before sending it to the shop?

Also tyre pressures and tread. A well worn tyre will not handle as well as a near new one.

+1 on spokes & tire, if not check your neck bearings for looseness.

I was going to suggest the neck bearing as well. How many miles on it?

What he said, snug up the steering head set bearings.

Is tire spelled tyre in the UK?

Actually, it's the other way round: tyre is spelled tire here in the US.

Neck bearings. I had the same thing. I think the torque spec is 35-40 ft lbs. there is a whole process in the manual for getting the correct setting. I think they call it fall away testing. Anyway I didn't do that but mine was a little loose. I ended up giving it about a quarter turn with the torque wrench and it went away.
