Default Issue with take off. possible fuel and or air filter

I've been riding my 08 883 low for a year and some change and the issue i've ran into is on initial take off as i pull on the throttle something is causing lag, and a back n forth rocking/ almost sputtering sensation. have talked to some of my brothers that twist wrenches for living and they said i prolly need new fuel filter, i know for fact i need new air filter. originally thought it was the throttle cables got those replaced, not the issue. so from what ive gathered its either the fuel filter clogged up causing the lag, and or the air filter. Any suggestions and or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Check exhaust head bolts, they like to jump off and cause an exhaust leak. Pull and clean your fuses and the two relays behind left side plate, on your year they are exposed, coat with dialectic grease. Clean battery terminals.
