Electrical gurus help pls.
I am about to start an HID projector instal on my 2006 XL1200R. I want to wire an on/off toggle to my headlight so that after the install I can start my bike first and then the headlight, so that I don't put a strain on the battery and charging system. Has anyone done this or know how to. I have a general idea of electrical but id figure I'd ask the pros or experienced guys. I know our H4 connector has ground, low, high. Should it be wired to the ground or the low? Any help is much appreciated. Here's the kit I'm installing.

Seeing as the kit has a ballast I would install your toggle switch on the low beam wire (power) wire as it might be bad for the ballast to loose ground.
Don't forget to put the light on before riding, at least here it is illegal to operate a motorcycle without the headlight on even in daylight.
Try to post a before/after photo with the bike in the same spot so we can compare the difference.

Thanks for your fast response. and it makes senses about the ballast and ground issue. And yes I plan on taking pics and posting about this retrofit.
