If I want to change the spark plug wires, what is involved in lifting the tank out of the way. I see no way of replacing the back plug wire without lifting the tank out of the way, any suggestions or ideas out there? thanks

 

When I lifted mine, I unbolted it and just set a chunk of 2x4 underneath it while I was in the workspace. Although may not be preferred by all, it worked.

 

Remove the front tank bolt and loosen the rear bolt. Then sit a 2x4 or something similar underneath it as stated above. That should give you more than enough room. You could also just get a tank lift and coil relocate and never have to deal with not having room again.

As others have mentioned get the coil relocation kit if you're going through the trouble. Here's my 1200C with the relocation done without the tank lift.
