Mystery Solo Seat

Mystery Solo Seat
I bought this pair of seats off CL as a package. I was mainly interested in the more comfortable two up seat so I didn't pay a lot of attention to the solo. I test fit the two up seat and it fits my 2007 1200C just right. It is obviously a Sundowner version. Tried to test fit the solo seat tonight and it doesn't even pretend to fit. The only identifiable numbers on them is the same on both seats so it apparently isn't a part number.
The solo seat has a 7485 embossed in the bottom and several different numbers that are not readable stamped in white. Does anybody have an idea what it might fit so I can resell it? Is it maybe for an early carburetor Sportster?

The two-up seat appears to be the HD Sundowner seat for the single seat being short (between attachment points) I'm leaning towards a sporty seat maybe a for a newer model than what you have, reason being on the newer models there is nothing tucked under the seat but frame and few wires.
You could take it up to the nearest HD dealer and ask?

The solo is a Sportster solo seat for an '04-'06. Possibly, it will fit 2010 and up. The key to fitment is that those years do not have the ECM in the rear fender (as pictured in the last pic, above). I have one like it for an '04-'06 1200C, which has a 4.5 gallon tank. It appears yours is for a 4.5 glln tank, too, judging by the nose and how short it is (4.5 glln tank is longer than a 3.3 tank, therefore the saddle's nose for a 4.5 is shorter). A seat for a Sportster with 4.5 tank will also fit a bike with a 3.3, but there will be a small gap between the front of the seat and the rear of the 3.3 tank. Some people prefer the gap, thinking that it lends to a custom look.
Worth about 75 bucks, maybe, depending on condition and how long you want to wait to sell it.

Mind giving me more info on that rear fender you have?

It's a Harley rear fender. It's called a "Bobtail" fender. They were available in color match, then they were only available in primer or gloss black. Lastly, they were discontinued by Mother Harley a few years ago, about 2011, I believe.
Primed part # 59985-07 for '07-'09, 59985-04 for '04-'06 and 2010 up.
Vivid Black part # 60052-07DH '07-'09, 60052-04DH for '04-'06 and 2010 up. Sportsters from '07-'09 had the ECM in their rear fender. Other years do not have it in the rear fender, hence, the different part #'s.
Installation Kit, part # 69714-04B, for all years 2004 up, includes the license plate/taillight mount that mounts to the fender. The fender part #'s are for the fender alone, no hardware or install components.
In 2012, I had a buddy do a dealer computer search for a fender and install kit (for a different Sportster than the one pictured above). I think I got the last one that was a left-over from a dealership in the USA. IIRC, a primed fender and install kit cost me about 400 bucks. I think finding one at a dealership would be highly unlikely. CraigsList and Ebay are probably your best bet.
