Default Croming my 2014 Iron 883

Hello
Greetings from India. I own a 2014 Iron 883 (Amber whiskey). I have so far ridden only about 7k kms in 10 months time and now that my Iron is almost a year old, I am thinking of giving her a unique look by croming some of the parts. Clearly I will do it in phases as it will be a hit on my wallet

So in the first phase, I have decided to crome the engine and some of the other parts listed below which together costs about usd 635.

Primary Cover Trim - Part Number: 25233-04
Gearcase Cover Trim - Part Number: 25231-04
Engine Sprocket Cover Trim- Part Number 34944-04
Primary & Cylinder Base Cover Trim - Part Number:25700196
Tappet Block Cover Kit - Part Number 18241-04
Sportster Air Cleaner Cover - Part Number: 29642-04
Headlight Cover - Part Number: 67884-90TA
Headbolt Bridge - Part Number: 44432-04
Chrome Speedometer Bracket Kit - Part Number: 67293-95
Genuine Harley-Davidson Fliters - Part Number: 63796-77a
Side Cover Wing Tips - Part Number: 66264-04
Ignition switch cover - Part Number 71527-04

All these are official HD parts as ordering from JPCYcles and Revzilla is not all the cheap due to shipping and the import duty costs. I wanted to include the crome rocker boxes (Inner and outer), but it alltogether costs more than $400 which is too expensive for me. However I came across rocker box covers on Ebay which are in a range of usd 100-120 but cant find the one that fits 2014 model.

So I need inputs on the below points -

* Does Rocker box covers fitting Superlow fit Iron as well?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROCKER-BOX-D...a6cbde&vxp=mtr

* Does the chain cover, pulley and lower belt guard available in the below link which is for Superlow will fit Iron too ?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROCKER-BOX-D...a6cbde&vxp=mtr

Thanks in advance riders for your inputs.

Cheers
Shek

You realize most of the stuff is just cheap stamped steel overlay covers that are chromed? I'm not sure a lot of people go that direction. Why not take your real (aluminum) covers off and have them chromed or powdercoated?

I'd imagine with the rain you get in India that those steel/chrome covers will rust up real quick.

Thanks John for sharing your thoughts. However back in India, we hardly have any such mechanics who can modify Harley's or who can crome all the required parts.. So we have no option but to get the work done through the authorized dealers who charge a bomb even to install to a new seat .

Why would you chrome your iron? I kinda feel like you should have bought the SuperLow if you wanted chrome. I've always thought you buy a Iron bc of the blacked out look.
