Thanks again for all the help,

The base kit for my saddle shares the bolt that bolts the rear of the gas tank to the frame, so that keeps it pretty stable. The only noticeable action on the springs is the up/down reaction to the road bumps. I haven't noticed any side to side yaw or roll movements, only the up/down. I have the beefy struts from DKCustom, so its a bit more of a stiffer/bumpier ride than one with shocks. So, my spring experiences should be a bit more noticeable than someone with shocks.

Hope that helps.

Oh, I have 2" barrel springs (which should be seen in the previous pics I posted). I hear the scissor springs feel more stable, but that probably varies on rider experiences. Personally, I have not rode on scissor spring saddles so I can't compare the two, I just prefer the barrel spring look over the scissor, but that's just my style preferences.

Plenty of guys run the scissors...the HD brand solo seat comes with scissor springs.

They are not nearly as bump absorbing as the barrels or the Shox springs. They also do not have as much travel.

This is the HD Solo seat. My butt is unhappy with this seat after two hours of riding and I bought a Mustang that will be installed this Spring. I have a Rich Phillips springer on my other bike and it is fantastic. Why the difference I do not know. Good luck.
