I kept my '89 FXRT for 21 years and I still have my '82 FXRS that I bought when it was a couple of years old.
I have a '62 BMW that my father in law bought new and I inherited it when he died.
My '01 Dyna's gonna have to last me a long time because the new bikes just don't inspire me to want to buy.

I built an Evo chopper in 2006. Had it about 3 yrs. Since then that's been the longest relationship with a bike I've had. Had an FXDX for a little over 2 yrs along with a Pan/Shovel chopper the same length. Since 2011 though I've probably been through 12-15 Sportsters and Dynas. Buy em rough or really stock and make em better and move em out. Until I come across my next true love that I'll wanna keep Ill just keep churning em out.

Bought a 78 Sportster XLH new for a little over $3,000.00, (which was a ton of money back then), sold it in 96 after 18 years. Got back every penny I ever put into it and more when I sold it. Best material investment I have ever made. I've had my 08 Heritage for almost 7 years and don't see myself ever selling it, (I'll pass it down to my son).
