I kept my '89 FXRT for 21 years and I still have my '82 FXRS that I bought when it was a couple of years old.
I have a '62 BMW that my father in law bought new and I inherited it when he died.

My '01 Dyna's gonna have to last me a long time because the new bikes just don't inspire me to want to buy.

By the way, how is that tank working out for you OddJack?
Hey Bow how's going...was that the blue tank? I still have it, not on the bike tho. I have on a gold one right now. I have them in 5 different colors. If you find a silver one let me know I will buy again :^)

Here is your tank:

I've had my Sportster for 25 years so far. Bought it used in 1990.

Lovely bikes. I have always wanted one of those older ironheads.

I built an Evo chopper in 2006. Had it about 3 yrs. Since then that's been the longest relationship with a bike I've had. Had an FXDX for a little over 2 yrs along with a Pan/Shovel chopper the same length. Since 2011 though I've probably been through 12-15 Sportsters and Dynas. Buy em rough or really stock and make em better and move em out. Until I come across my next true love that I'll wanna keep Ill just keep churning em out.

I've had my 1991 since I rode it off the lot of LA Harley on November 24, 1990.

Bought a 78 Sportster XLH new for a little over $3,000.00, (which was a ton of money back then), sold it in 96 after 18 years. Got back every penny I ever put into it and more when I sold it. Best material investment I have ever made. I've had my 08 Heritage for almost 7 years and don't see myself ever selling it, (I'll pass it down to my son).
