May not count but...
In 1984, I bought a new Honda 3 wheeler for my son. He rode the crap out of it in Southern California desert, he grew up, moved out, got married, but the 3 wheeler is still in my basement and I use it to haul deer out of the woods with it. It is 32 years old. My 09 Ultra Classic is almost 6 years old.

its inspiring to see bike that people have owned for decades.
i have to admit, I'm addicted to craigslist. most of my bikes i only owned for a few months before selling or trading up to something better.
I've had my current bike, 2009 883 custom, for almost 3 months now and don't think ill be getting rid of it any time soon. its the first bike that I've been customizing myself so i think that'll help me hold onto it

when I was 12 yrs old I saved enough money to go halfers with my parents on a brand new 1980 Yamaha GT 80 (total cost: $1049). I wanted it so I could ride it to school, it is street legal.....signal lights, electric start and all. I still have it in the shed, runs but needs some lovin'.
this is the exact bike, from a google image search.

Had a '73 Moto Guzzi Eldorado for 5 years. Wish I still had it.
Guess my Fatbob is the winner going on almost 7 years and counting.
Everything I have now is expected to last till the bitter end, then wind up in my kids garages....hopefully many years from now...
Only thing I'm still tempted by is finding the right basket shovel, or possibly another Evo, to build piece by piece with no deadline. Guess that'll be called retirement.
