My first Harley was a 2005 XL1200C which sadly was written off a year ago. I like my 2000 Low Rider a lot, but it is an entirely different beast despite the similar design.
Really miss the Sporty and hope to get another some day.
I have a 2004 FXDL as well as the 2013 Forty Eight, I love both bikes but the 48 is my bike of choice. The only time I breakout the Dyna is when I need to two-up or just ride her to keep everything working good, otherwise I'm on the 48.
Really fun having a sporty and a big twin, two different rides, wouldn't say one's better than the other, just that each has it's strong points. Fun being able to lean with the sporties. I didn't realize how much more they can lean until the first time I followed my daughter on my 883; poor Glide, trying to keep up, grind, spark, grind, spark, grind, grind... and that was the first time she rode a Harley, too! That garage has entirely too much room for only two bikes.
Get with the program. Buy another Sportster.
I bet your boy gets the first wheelie (challenge, on).
Nice addition to the stable. They'll enjoy the nimbleness of the Sporty. I wonder who'll enjoy it more...your wife or son?
De Oppresso Liber. I take it Special Forces?
Yep, retired fortunately. Definitely a young mans profession.
