Thanks for the complements, I appreciate it.

I was gonna wait and fine sand the pulley cover today after it dried, but my lack of patients got the better of me. I decided to scrape off all of the paint, so I put it on my bench buffer that has a wire wheel attached, and took it down to bare metal last night.

I cleaned it up and shot three coats of rattle paint in it and hopefully it will be good to go tonight.

Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.

Finally got around to finishing the pulley guard.

I put three coats of gloss black paint on it and let it dry for two days. In the meantime, I bought some mesh screen from Home Depot in the gutter section to go behind the large center hole.

The bolts are reused Harley that were cut to the correct length. I put plastic spacers behind the cover to make sure the nut retainer stayed in place. Two small Allen bolts were used to secure the mesh in place.

I can't stand the way the cam cover looks... it definitely needs a chop job done on it and that exhaust has to go.

Thanks Chells93, I'm glad you're enjoying this thread, it's been a lot of work and a lot of patients.

I like making my own stuff over buying the exact part that everyone else has. Most of the time that isn't possible, but whenever I can fab something myself, I gonna do it.

Saves a ton of money too.

For sure man! I really dig the ignition and coil relocate job you did. I think I'm going to try and do something along those lines myself. Like you said, save a ton of money!
