Advice needed - aux brake/tail lights '14 883 iron
I'm looking for auxillary lighting for my '14 Iron xl883n. Specifically, brake and/or tail lights to enhance rear visibility. I have an HD detachable sissy bar and the tag/license plate is already side mounted. I would prefer something that I could easily put on or take off when I use the sissy bar as a large luggage bag holder. Any suggestions from the group? Thanks.

I have the HD rear led fender light you speak of. Here's mine installed. It's awesome. However I also have rear LED turn signals too from Custom Dynamics. Even brighter. Well worth the front and rear set together. They make sets specifically for the sportster too. Www.customdynamics.com.

I advise against using removable electrics. Install extra lights where they can be seen whatever else you add or remove from your bike, that's the best way of making them reliable. Some members have added lights to the ends of the swingarm, as one suggestion, that way you have four round lights, plus the fender light sroc3 has - how much more can a chap need?!

This usually gets you forty lashes on here but that small red light is a LED trailer unit I replaced my reflector with. Also note the old set of Harley Signal Light on my want to be Harley. This is back before RIP felt sorry for me and bought me a Harley.

If your plan is to place the pack on the passenger seat, these lights fit particular Harley sissy bars. A smoked version is available, as well:

One of the first accesories I installed when I got my bike was the under fender mounted run/brake light.
I even installed the reflector with the kit for more visibility.

These are very high quality , pricey , but worth it.

The stock lighting is pretty sad , so it can be improved easily with the right parts.
I even ride with the harley high vis green vest these days as I've been rear ended and totalled twice.
