Can you explain this concept in more depth please.

My bike came with the skinny 21" front wheel. The first 2 front tire changes came at ~7500 miles on each tire.
After the second 21" tire wore out, I swapped to a 19" wheel with the fatter 100 tire. Every front tire since then, for the next 85,000 miles, has lasted over 20,000 miles each.
There's some real world experience...seems counter-intuitive, but it does match up with what the OP mentioned was his experience also.

So then, we should start riding in zig zag??

Ride is 2012 1200C. Told I'm good for another 5k easy. Front fat tire does looks better than rear.

Thanks! I'll add that in to-

I'm warming up the tires

&

I'm using all the tread to get the most wear out of the tires

I think she gave up years ago...she knows I get bored if the road is too straight for too long. lol
