Your company was the vendor. No problem on your end, great service and delivery.
I spoke to Steve @ NightRider several times trying to get my problems resolved. Not once did he offer an exchange or mention a possible defective set. The set on the 2007 ran flawless, the ones on my 2014 did not work well at all. (fixed it for you)
The XIED's kept throwing O2 codes, pipes popped badly, and the bike bogged down heavily if dialed up to high. Even with it dialed up, the pipes still popped badly. This was with V&H slip ons only, and no intake mod at that time.

The XL-ViED-14's work great on the 14 &15 Sportster to reduce heat, reduce surging and increase acceleration...whether on a stock Sporty, a Stage I Sporty or in-between.
We are sorry that you did not experience that. Your experience is definitely an anomaly, and we will make it right with you.

I have been looking at the XiEDs and X14iEDs for an '08 Nightster. The bike is currently stock but will probably run a set of slips on and possibly a K&N air filter. I'm having a tough time figuring out what exactly the differences are between these (and other tuning options... Fuelpak, Power Commander, Fuel Moto, etc.). Is it just that these are non-adjustable? How do the benefits compare? I see these can add up to 6-8% fuel, that seems like a lot... I am assuming MPG's take a hit? Came across X14iED used for $50, so I am trying to decide.
