Default Forward Controls On My Iron 883

I installed forward controls on my 2015 iron 883 yesterday and the stock pegs or even aftermarket pegs don't sit in the clasps right. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

can you take the footpeg off and then post a pic of the clasp? I think I know what's wrong, but I need to see that first.

Yeah my dealership installed the offset stuff for me as well. I haven't done it, but I should have a list on xlforum PM for the parts you need if you want to change em. Let me know if you're interested.

If they aren't there, I can post them tomorrow, I'm at work right now.

Use a grinder. I bought forwards from a 48 and put them on my iron.

Thanks guys. I just paid 400 bucks plus pegs for forward controls and spent 3hrs in the garage installing. It sucks that I've got to either replace the clasps with new ones (when I paid for them in an HD kit) or I've got to pull the exhaust off again, take apart the fc brake assembly again and grind down the HD clasp to make it work. I guess that's what I get for trying to buy all HD and not go for aftermarket forward controls. Aghh.

Does anybody have part numbers for stock pegs that will fit these clasps for now?

Yep, that's what I figured. My wife has a 1200C that is stock with forwards. I tried to put my old Kury switchblades on it and it wouldn't work. Still haven't decided if I should get new ones or use the grinder.

Good luck

I bought a set of Kury pegs only to find that my 1200 Custom had the off-set clevis!! Grinder solved that problem!!!
