The left tail light on my Nightster rattled itself loose. But when I try to retighten it, the thread to the stem tightens up before it will re-thread the bulbous tail light section.

Has anyone removed and replaced the tail light assembly on a Nightster and can give me a tip on how to tighten it?

You have to take the strut cover off. Two bolts on the strut cover and a but in behind light stock. The light and stock are held on with a nut on the inside of the strut cover. Maybe loose there.
