We have a couple of excellent threads by members showing what they did, which are well worth looking out. Mich did one of them, simply use Advanced Search for '1250' in titles. You can probably judge by reading them if you feel comfortable tackling such a job. Also look out for the main brands, including Hammer, NRHS and S&S, who may also have instructions on their websites.

Here's Mich's thread.

Here's Chris's thread.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...0-install.html

Both will be on my iPad next to the HD manual and Hammer instructions as I work.

The Energy One, extra plate, +15% spring kit. Cheaper than the SE kit and gets good reviews.

Thanks, please let us know how the 15% holds up. I have a few guys that have the 25% and they like it better/doesn't slip.

Thanks,

Installed a new tail light assembly from Custom Dynamics to go along with the turn signals i replaced earlier. It's the Genesis II laydown with window. I don't know if i've ever seen any tail light be it car or truck that puts out so much red light when you hit the brakes. It was too cold to ride today but i checked it out this AM , hit the brake light and virtually eliminated the field for 30-40 yards easy in about a 25foot arc.

Thanks,
I put in the same clutch just last month but with 25% spring and love it, bites much better and smoother than stock...I am sure that the 15% would be fine though (I let the people who sell them decide what I should get after telling them what I had in the bike) ..I would thinks that the clutch pull on the 15% might be easier on the hand compared to the 25%, but the 25% is not bad...I still am not sure why HD put that spring plate in the original clutch pack, as it didn't seem to make a difference when I removed it (probably some engineer, trying to make a name for himself)...

Ok Thanks for the info. One of my friends who is up in age also used the easy clutch and he likes it w/the 25% plate. I'm not so sure about the easy clutch but I hear people like that mod.

She's all torn down to the connecting rods. My kit arrived an hour ago and I'll start reassembly early tomorrow.

Do you have a thread or anything on that belt tensioner? Did you make it or buy it?
