Default Need to Replace Rear Tire XL50

My rear tire needs to be replaced. Is the D401 (OEM) a good option for a basic cruiser tire. (rarely ride above 70mph)

The Stk size is 150/80 B16..........doesn't look like there is much room for a larger size to me. The original tire is only about 7/16" from hitting the belt guard.

Did a search but really did not find an answer.

Can't help for that specific question. But, on a 99, stock is 140, running a 150. About 3/16" clearance, eyeball wise. No problems.
Have always read up 1 size should not be a problem.

Is the D 404 a better rear tire then the D 401?
