Clunk after Trans oil change

Clunk after Trans oil change
Many say the clunk is normal.
Yet I'd like some feedback on this.
07 1200N 9K mileage.
I ride my bike fairly smoothly; no quarter mile races so to say; yet I will go to redline.
Last trans oil change was at 5K mileage.
Before the trans oil change the clunk noise seems less - so to say.
I used to noticed the clunk from neutral to 1st, 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 5th I never really complained about the clunk.
Now it is clunking noticeably to me in all gear changes.
I replaced the clutch cable (actually just the o-ring at the derby for the cable) and have a ser. manual.
Removed the derby cover and clutch spring pieces to replace the cable.
Set in line cable adjustment to zero.
Reinstall until I felt the derby area clutch adjustment slotted bolt to resistance and backed off 1/4 turn.
Adjusted in line cable adjuster to attain slight play at clutch hand lever.
Added 32 oz of Formula + Harley trans oil and reinstalled derby with new large o-ring.
Magnetic trans oil drain plug had some debris on it , yet no chucks, just fine particles.
No slipping, engages fine, just seems to have a louder and more constant clunk.
So would new oil increase the noise?
Perhaps I am just a little low on oil?
I believe my clutch adjustments are correct.
Would anyone redo the behind the derby adjustment in my case?
I for one am not a fan of the inherent clunk.
I could believe the clunk is normal yet again it just seems to be worse.
All comment welcome and thanks HD co-members.

I took Guzzi's suggestion.
Cold the primary was in spec to 1/2 flex at tightest spot.
However, with 10K mileage and never having a primary chain adjustment before, I made the decision to tighten it 1/2 flat of the allen wrench on the adjuster bolt.
Also re did the clutch adjustment behind the derby.
Took all the tension out of the inline clutch cable adjustor and for the slotted bolt under the derby cover, as opposed to "until" resistance, I went to "fairly snug" resistance and then backed off 1/4 turn. There was difference in the orientation of the spring and hex assembly with the recheck from the original position.
Re-used the large derby cover o-ring.
My bike seems to be back to it original cluck noise state. Thanks Guzzi.
Now it is time for a critical fastener check.
