I have the same seat on my 2013 XL1200C. I noticed it raised me a bit and also pushed me back. However, I feel much more comfortable with it helping with back fatigue and a more secure ride. My biggest problem with the stock / factory seat was sliding back whenever you got on the throttle hard. I also like the look of more fender.

 

Yeah, I would slide back some on my stock seat when getting on it as well. I'm sure the Mustang solo will prevent that.

 

Well I got my Mustang Vintage solo seat yesterday. It went on easy, no trouble at all. Looks good on the bike. I took the bike out today. The seat seats and rides real well. If it improves when its broken it it will be perfect. The seat sets up a bit higher but does not set me back compared to the stock Superlow seat. I think I'm going to really like it.

 

I have a vintage wide seat coming Saturday. My butt is excited.

You will like it. I been out riding most of the day and mine feels pretty good and its not even broken in yet.

 

I got mine yesterday and put it on today, it is amazing. I got the one with the backrest and I feel like I could ride all day if I didn't have to stop for gas. After 400 miles yesterday on the stock seat, I am really enjoying the mustang seat!

 

Got mine and I gotta say, it's amazing. It's taller than the stock seat, which is great because I don't feel so cramped. It is big and not super attractive compared to my Saddlemen Cafe seat, but after a few hundred miles, my butt doesn't care what it looks like, as long as it's comfortable. If you plan on any touring, this is the seat to have.

 

I have a Mustang Vintage, in near new condition, on my 2011 "48". EXTREMELY COMFY...but...a bit too far back for my short legs. Will sell for $150 + ship or trade for "close" or "up-front" seat.
