Default XL883L engine stall randomly

Hi,
In the last couple of month my 2011 XL883L is stalling randomly.
I had 0 luck reproducing the issue and my local dealer did not manage to solve this as well.
In most cases this happens in low RPM and while standing in red light.
I have managed to catch this on video so you can see how my bike dashboard reacts when this happens.

I have tried disconnecting the kickstand sensor to eliminate that option but I still had my engine stalled.

Any idea's?

Thanks

Has it been cutting out at all while you're riding?
Like a little "chug"?
You drained the bowl on the carb lately?
You might look under the frame and check the connector that goes
to the ignition module and the wires to it.
Do you have a factory service manual?

try switching the 2 relays first..
if still not work, try slightly rocking the key in ignition switch while running.... engine and power should not be off because of that...

If I understand correctly what you mean by "chug" then yes, I did have them but not very often. That means that while riding I would feel for a second that the engine was cut off but then return back to work normally.

We did check the wiring as well did Harley.
I do have a factory service manual as well.

Hi, I did try to play around with the key while the engine is on. It doesn't look like the problem is from there.

What do you mean exactly by switching the 2 relays?

EFI has 2 relays: system and starter (1 and 2 in the picture below). They both are same. You can swap them to see if it resolves the issue or not.

I experienced same issue before. It was caused by the system relay which could not keep the engagement. Recommend clean all pins and dielectric before plug them back.

It's a good chance that it's the relay as noted before. Make sure that the contacts are clean and add some dielectric grease to the contacts. The relays are known to go bad and leave you stranded at the worst time. I always like to carry a spare along with a spare main fuse as a backup. I ziptie them in the fuse box area for use later if needed down the road. Cheap insurance.
