My first Harley: A 2015 XL1200T!
Thanks to hdforums I was able to get tons of information about accessories, maintenance, problems and solutions, statistics, and tips! I find information from HD owners much more valuable than information from a one time motorcycle evaluator using raw factory data for half of their articles.
My first post is to thank everybody on the forum!

Welcome indeed. My wife just cut a deal on a 2105 XL1200T in Superior Blue. Once it gets in they will install full forward controls, grips, small boards for the passenger, sissy bar, pad etc., etc. Tried to talk her into some Vance & Hines Big Radius Pipes but she said no for now. She has owned a new metric, years ago and is now running a 1998 XL1200C but is excited to be getting her first brand new Harley and handing off the '98 Sporty to her sister..
I'm here on the Sportster boards looking for bikes to get some ideas for her and shhhhh, don't tell anyone but I am looking forward to giving it a go and see how she handles compared to my 2014 Street Glide Special.
I agree with the others, post up some pics.

StreetGlideSpecial: Man you really cut a hell of a deal getting a Harley 90 years in the future! I didn't think Harley thought that far in advance. Is it matter/anti-matter or ion powered? Kidding.
Forward controls? I recently installed HD forward controls on my XL1200T and know you need to be prepared to buy the correct foot pegs made for the forward controls, or grind down the foot peg tang that is longer to fit your existing foot pegs/mini-floor boards.
After installing the forward controls, I also tried using the original mini-floor boards but they were pointing slightly downward on the front edge. That's why I went with round pegs.
I changed controls because the further forward mid controls that came with the bike made me lift my entire foot to shift. I could not adjust the lever because the shift lever spleen had coarse teeth which made the shift lever adjustment either too high or too low.
I love the forward controls and feel that's how a Harley should be ridden. Bumps? You can still stand up on your pegs, just make sure your bars are tightly clamped!

Good choice. It is my favorite ride. I'm 6'3" 200lbs and had no problem averaging over 640 miles/day on my ride to this years River Run in Laughlin.
Got off the bike each evening feeling good. At 74 that says a lot for the bike.
Here's my set up.
Ran 70 to 75 mph on I-40 and the Toll road. The bike delivered 50 to 51 mpg each fill up of 87 E10. One state had pure gas.
