sea foam keeps the winter storage gremlins away. Use it every winter here in MT. Awesome stuff... swear by it. Also use it if the bike starts running rough or gas mileage goes down. Keep the injectors clean and does not screw up the 02 sensors. I have used it in every bike I have had for the past 10 years.

I get mine at Auto Zone. I use a coffee scoop that used to come in coffee cans, that equals 1 oz. It really makes a difference, I also use it in my lawnmower.
I started up my old '96 Suzuki Savage today as it had not been taken out since last October - my 48 gets all the attention. I had put Seafoam in and just kept it on the tender all winter and spring. It started right up first try, didn't really even need the choke, and off we went - I was amazed. Usually you have to work with it a bit to get it going, keep the choke on for a bit, etc.
I think its one ounce per gallon - I need to check the directions. I usually put it in after I've filled up or when I get home. I use it on a full or almost full tank.

Have not tried it on the oil side. I have heard of folks using it, taking a good ride then doing a good oil change. I use the magic stuff in my bikes. It is 1oz per gal. I put it in right after a fill-up. Not often, maybe once or twice a year if I suspect issues.

I've used it in a Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 with good results. Changed the oil within 100 miles. Was just using it to help clean up the engine. No clutch problems after using it either.

The instructions call for it to be added to the crankcase just a few miles before doing the oil change, in other words, it's not intended to stay in the oil very long. This is fine in vehicles that store their oil in the crankcase, where it ALL gets drained when you change the oil.
A "by the book" motor oil change on a Harley drains only the oil in the bag (oil tank), with almost 1/3 of the used oil, and whatever else you put in the oil, remaining in the motor and oil lines.
