Default Cult-Werks Front Fender

I was trying to find a way to get my existing fender shaved, repainted and then lowered a bit....everyone wanted to charge me a mint for it (like $300 +) - No Thanks. Found this pre-made solution from a German company. It came painted Gloss Black and is made of pretty durable injection molded plastic. It also is 12mm lower from the bracket so it sits closer to the tire. I also just reused the original screws. Pretty happy with it

Yes sir! You told me where to get it

It was well worth not having to haggle and price out a paint job & trim down of the stock fender. Plus this one is "lower" and thus closer to the wheel. It's perfect!

About $170 after shipping & tax. It probably cost them $25 to make it but hey, kudos to them and NO one else carrying something this sweet. There is one local company but they are charging almost the same for an unpainted one....ridiculous.

Here's the link (it's in German) - http://www.cult-werk.com/harley/en/k...ige-oberflache

I don't know... I'm not a big fan of plastic fenders.

When you upgrade your bike, as the word imply, in my mind, you're normally putting higher quality parts than OEM, or at least of equal quality but with some added value somewhere (looks, from your point of view).

In this case, especially if you think it costs about 25$ to produce this piece, you certainly reduced the quality of the front fender and overall quality of your bike. I personnaly think the short fender looks very good but I'd probably would have gone with the guy that was charging 300$ to modify the original fender; at least that guy was not screwing you from behind like those german dudes...

I see your point but you're also correct about my value perception. I'm not putting greater value on some dingbat who wants to charge me $300 for an obviously cheap, $75 maximum job. That's getting screwed from behind. Lol

From a "quality" of materials standpoint it directly correlates into performance. My lighter fender is actually better for my front end. It's lighter. Again my value perceived is that I have less mass up front, albeit a very small difference.

Hahaha, I realized that after I clicked "submit reply." Glad you're happy with the fender!
