Done a little work over the cold season!

Before the winter hit I installed a 1200cc kit to make it a little faster, more desirable and broke it in before it got too cold to ride comfortably.

Chopped the cam cover and pulley cover, then had them powder coated along with the primary cover, rocker covers, rear pulley and air filter. Put a bigger, and matching, rear tire on.

Also, painted it! At school I got to try out a little metal flake, turned out pretty good I think! Lime-Gold Candy, will see how it looks when the bike is all back together.

While having the cam cover off, I decided to install a Dyna 2000i ignition and switch to a single fire system. Now I am just waiting for the rocker covers and air filter to get back from powder coating, bought the single fire coil, and a new seat is on its way.

What do you think so far???

New seat, rocker covers on, and it is running, just waiting for the Air filter from the powder coater and then I can tune it and ride it!

why did you not paint the front fender???

like the color if it was my bike i would have chopped the rear fender so it would look like the iron/48

It looks pretty good - and probably was a good learning experience in addition to being a much lower cost alternative to a new(er) bike. I included, I hope< an image of one I put together about 10 or so years ago.

Have fun and ride safely1

dang nice progress on this bike! thinking of different bars? drag or mini apes? also do you still have the solid rear wheel and willing to let it go?
