anyone have a shark raw? i like the look of them..
if so hows the wind noise?
does the face guard come off?
dont ride with a helmet often but i've been looking for a good modular/FF
Yeah I had one, I actually sent it back due to what I felt was poor visibility (but that's all goggles I guess) and the cheapness of the mask. Just didn't feel like a lid that would last long :/
Looked good though!
In answer to your questions, it was pretty quiet and yes it comes off, but the way it connects to the goggles is really flimsy and not very well thought out...
If there was no choice but to wear a full face helmet what style would you choose for your Dark Custom style HD - Iron, Nightster, 48?
Give me your thoughts/suggestions please....
(I don't want to hear any helmet law debates please )
a full face helmet offers max protection from hitting the ground...
however i dont like the look of a full face helmet on a cruiser, you look like an alien , but i do like the Bell Rogue helmet, kind of a cross between 3/4 and full!
The helmet that best fits your head shape. Scorpion is the only brand that fits my head shape perfectly. For protection its FF. I generally wear a 3/4 or FF.. In hot weather riding a FF is the most comfortable.
I love my Arai freeway open face helmet, but on the Harley with no screen, you do get loads of flying debris on the highway which stings. I took a small stone to the chin today and it actually bled! Think i'll have to fit a visor or resign it to town riding only.
My main helmet is the Scorpion full face. I have a couple of them. I also like, oddly enough, since its less expensive, the Z1R brand.
In a full face I like to have vents. I like the look of the Biltwells but without venting I won't wear it. Good vents make a difference. Eventually I plan on getting an Arai. But right now its Scorpion for me.
I've been using the HJC CL-16 the past year and its been good to me although it does get a bit hot in there from time to time. I love their pinlock lense system it defenitley does the job. Recently purchased the new HJC CL-17 that is suppose to provide better ventilation but haven't tried on yet. So far I like HJC.
I have one of the HD Modular helmets. I love being able to flip the chin guard up off my face when I'm riding out the dirt drive and stop to fill up with fuel. Don't use the slide down shade much because it touches my nose.
