Default Clutch line leaks oil

My clutch line is leaking below the adjuster nut. Dont understand it since it is above the transmission oil level. Any thoughts?

My vent tube had became plugged, probably by dirt dobbers.
After clearing it out, oil quit traveling up the clutch cable.
The vent is is right on top of the trans and mine had a rubber elbow on it.
Hope this helps.

When I changed out my clutch cable, primary fluid leaked out. There is an O ring on the clutch cable. Might need a new one. Also don't over tighten. It's very easy to strip out the case. Then your in another world of hurt. I don't remember the tourqe spec off the top of my head. I just remember I snugged it up just a little past finger tight.

I just noticed my Sportster had the same issue.

Can I just clean it or do I have to replace the clutch cable?

While I'll be working on it and messing with the transfer case, could you guys recommend a Transmission/primary fluid for a '06 XL with 13K miles?

Thanks,
Dan
