If the only problem is that the rims are out of true, truing them properly should fix it. No new parts necessary.

the recent H-D spoked rear wheels have bad nuts on the spokes.

I had the same problem on my 2012 XLC, my indy replaced the nuts by older ones he still had in stock, no troubles ever since he did it...

Update: I took into my mechanic (Black Gold in Daytona, if you're ever around these parts), and he didn't even bat an eye...."we see it all the time"...he said. So, we'll see what happens. I asked if he thought the wheel was messed up and he said, "its no big deal I have 2000 of em sitting in the back". I said "you're kidding me".

Black Gold is famous for used parts and super cheap prices. Owner took me in back and the amount of used stuff is beyond belief....mufflers, wheels, carbs, pipes, handlebars, as far as the eye can see

So, hope it works

If fixing the spokes doesnt fix the wobble check your steering neck bearings. Wobble on decel is almost always caused by loose/damaged bearings.

Def get it ALL checked to be sure. You never know what might be wrong. A wobble at any speed is dangerous on a bike.....especially when you're trying to slow down.

I should have suspected an issue because owner said he was tightening up the spokes according to some you tube video to correct for wobble. I just thought he was nuts, but I'm out there looking at spokes and some are easily moved by hand.

Doesn't seem wise to me to just crank them all up tight, etc. I have a good mechanic, but I'm afraid this is going to be a constant problem. Never had a single problem with wobble in any bike ever.

I know this has been kicked around a lot just appreciate thoughts
A bent frame will cause wobble.

I bought a wrecked bike with a bent frame and it was not as hard to fix as you might think. If that turns out to be the problem, let me know and I may be able to help.
