I want to put forward controls on but am a little tight for money. I know the motor mounts are the same up to 2003 on the sportsters . Does this mean that I can use forward controls for sportsters up to 2003 on my 1989 sportster?

 

Good question as I have a '90 XLH and was wondering the same thing.
Some say you can only fit your year but who knows-again, good question.
