Rubbing - Rear Pulley/Sprocket Outer Edge - SOLVED
Done 600 miles on my 2015 48 and today I have noticed this....
Rubbing on the outer pulley/sprocket edge, not on the inner edge at all either.
WTF ?
Assuming it is rubbing on the upper or lower belt guard, but how?
I've bottomed out the suspension once or twice and been over a couple of pot holes, but I assumed the guards stay relative to the swing arm position not the suspension.
Is something moving under load?
Will the dealer replace this pulley under warranty or should I just remove the belt guard and go about my business?
Thanks in advance

Thanks G
I just checked again and the upper belt guard is nowhere near the pulley - obviously don't know what happens under riding conditions but I can't see anything moving that much?
Maybe my fat **** is too heavy for it - as I said I have bottomed it out several times
If the UK summer holds out, the 1000 mile service will be due in a couple of weeks so will probably mention it to the dealer then.
In the meantime, do you think the shock or fender could be hitting the belt guard when it bottoms out, causing it to rub on the pulley?

Hmmm.....maybe the wheel is out of true. The marks do not look consistent, so I assume that since some parts of the pulley are scarred "deeper" then it might be the pulley or the wheel that's out of true. Combined with compression of your shocks bottoming out it occasionally rubs. I would have the dealer check the wheel balancing to be very sure. It's not like a bicycle where you just lift it up and spin the rear wheel. They'll have to do it at the dealer or shop.
