Default rear fender chop?

ive searched the past threads and cant find what i'm looking for. I cant sit through one of those "what have you done" 1500 post threads either. I'm not as talented as a lot of the do it yourself guys here, i'm more of a bolt on, bolt off guy. i was wondering if someone makes a rear chopped fender kit with the matching fender rails also? or do I have to bring it to a shop and have it cut to size manually?

If you're not able or willing to DIY - I'd say that the bike would need to be taken somewhere to have the frame rails hacked off - they are not a bolt on rear subframe like some other bikes.

The bobbed rear fender is probably available somewhere to buy - but if a mechanic is angle grinding your stuff he/she could do the fender too I guess.

yes, i'd have to take it to a shop. I don't have the tools to cut them down. if that's the case, I wont buy an aftermarket fender i'll keep mine, and have it chopped with the rail.

if u dont have the tools to chop the rear struts, borrow them save the cash -
if its that much of a pia, then just get it done , but then u wont learn anything lol ..

Default Lick's Chopped Rear Fender

Did you check out Lick's chopped rear fender?

http://www.lickscycles.com/harley-sp...lcc-xlbobf.htm

Solid fender - high quality. I upgraded the tail light to a TT&Co Sparto.

I did actually, it made me think I should just chop my stock fender to that size and not cut anything else

Default West Eagle Fender

I'm wondering if you ended up with the West Eagle fender? I am looking at a solo seat fender kit from them - I would like some information about quality and ease of installation from someone who bought one!

Did you see my thread? Do it yourself and learn a lot. Rent an angle grinder and buy a $2 cutting wheel. Borrow or buy a dremel.

I did this mod a few weeks ago. Reconsider trying it yourself.
