Default 2008 Nightster: Stock Exhaust vs. Wyatt Gatling Slip Ons (Pics & Vids)

I installed a set of Wyatt Gatling slip ons this past weekend, which are supposed to be SE II replicas. They sound amazing! They definitely have the tone I loved from my SE II's on my '02 883, but on the 1200 they pack a big PUNCH. A quick twist of the wrist and they BARK. Much louder than I expected, but it definitely sounds like a Harley now. I love them. In the videos, I rode further with the Wyatt Gatlings on than with the stock, and you can still hear them.

Also, turns out, the 2" clearance dent on the rear muffler that I was really thrown off by (you can see the video at about 30 seconds in... it's next to the axle nut, the rear of the dent is about even with the nut) is at about the 11 o'clock position once installed vice 12 o'clock like how I thought it would be, and is barely noticeable. I do like the SE II's better in regards to looks... the slash cut was more exaggerated and you couldn't see the baffles. Being that I couldn't find any SE II's for this bike, these are a perfect replacement.

Of course, the video does not do it justice. Sounds much better in person. But you can actually hear the exhaust in the video with the Wyatt Gatlings, compared to stock, where you really hear more engine than exhaust.

Nice, Those are the same as the Radii I have. They are sold under several different names.

Huge improvement!

If I lived in the city where I had to be concerned about neighbors, I might go for a sound like that, personally I will them a bit louder.

I couldn't find any solid reviews/vids either when I was searching. Glad I could help.
