Recent Build Photos (Heavy Image Load)
I feel like I've been off this forum for at least a year, so I wanted to share what I've been working on. I've done two separate choppers using 2001 and 2002 1200 Custom donor bikes, and also a '76 Shovel (which I know should go in a different forum but I'm lazy today).
2001 XL1200 Custom
I had this bike for a couple years before turing it into a hard tail. Before I did so, I took her on one last trip from Texas to California. The first photo is what she looked like before the tear down, then a shakedown version (no paint) and how she is today. I tried to keep the final build as close to my original design.

2002 XL1200 Custom
I wanted to do a 70's style raked out chopper but with modern flare, so I picked up a 2002 Custom from Craigslist for $3400 and got to work. It's got an extended springer front end and a 23" wheel, frisco mid controls, shovelhead rockers, and a mount for my skateboard (which you can just see poking up over the rear fender). Tons of fun to ride but definitely not a bike for beginners. Photos go from stock bike, to unpainted from a magazine shoot to where it stands today (minus the finished headlights as they are black now).

1976 Shovelhead
I'll spare you details as its the wrong board on this forum for my Shovel. However, here's a couple photos and a link below to (yet another) magazine article that has the full story and build details.
