I'm thinking of (eventually) going for a stronger bobber look for my Iron, which would include removing the front fender and adding a larger front tire. How much larger a tire could it be while retaining the stock wheel?

Thanks!
Most 110's will fit, but if you're wanting a wider 48 look, you'll need to
go with Mid-Glide trees to get more width.
The super low, 1200 custom, and 48 all run wider tires because they have mid-glide front ends. I just did this conversion on my hugger. There's a recent post about it. I did end up using a 40 spoke 16" though. The 48 comes stock with a 32 spoke front wheel.
the super low has 120mm front tire, does any body know if that wheel/just the wider profil would fit plug and play on the iron???????

The SuperLow rims both front and rear are smaller in diameter and wider than most of the rest of the range, so that 120 is on a 3.5" wide rim, not the stock 2.15" narrow rim.

in denmark the super low has 17" rear wheel and the iron has 16" rear, but in the front you are correct.
i was just wondering how wirde you can go on the std. iron rims with out touching the fenders and they still sit god on the rims
super
and will the rear rim take 160(170 is that pushing it??)
if there can be 110mm on the front u should be abel to fit the superlow rim with 110mm front tire???(i like the wheels alot ,they look like bbs wheels)
