Default Stock 48 seat

Ok so I got a 2014 Iron and thinking of going with a stock 48 seat. The Iron seat doesn't really bother me besides where its high in the back. It digs into my tailbone or whats left of it anyways and starts to irritate me. I want a lower profile seat and I really like the 48 seat. I know people have issues with sliding back a little and I'm ok with that as long as the seat isn't digging into me tailbone. Other then that issue is it ok for around an hour ride.

I have about 4k miles on my stock 48 seat and it's much more comfortable now than it was in the beginning. I'm still looking to replace it but I haven't found a seat that checks off everything on my list (more comfortable, fair price, good looks, doesn't push me forward any).

I like the 48/72 seat look on the Iron too. I'm just not into Springer seats at all. I've sat on the 48/72 seat many times and never had an issue, but I keep getting people telling me I won't like the 48 seat on my Iron. I can't seem to make up my mind. I hate the stock Iron seat though.

So I've been looking around a lot to try and find a perfect median. The Harley Low Profile seat is nice and comfy but a little thick. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-16-5153804--1 i think it looks good, but not great.

Everyone seems to love Mustang seats, but I can't find one from them I like at all.

La Pera has a couple seats I like: http://lepera.com/v4_Sport_10_detail.php?SEATID=3

and

http://lepera.com/v4_Sport_10_detail.php?SEATID=33 - they are basically the same seat.

I like this one: http://www.sportsterspecialty.com/co...sportster.html

Biltwell makes a "Sporty-8" seat that looks like the stock 48/72 seat. Might want to look at that also.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but aren't the Biltwell Sporty-8 seats exactly the same as the 48 seats - only recovered? Do they feel any different? This seat is gorgeous to me: https://www.biltwellinc.com/p333/buy...-checkerboard/ but is it any different than the stock 48 seat other than looks?

The real problem with the stock 48 seat is that you easily slide back off the seat when taking off...

I remember the first day, riding the bike from the dealer... I kept thinking, "why so many people complaining?? This seat feels great!" The next day I knew why... I hate riding from the rear fender...that is where I went every time I took off aggressively...

Other than that... yeah, looks great, lol.

Though sliding off sucked I got used to it and learned how to hold on so it didnt happen. But I took a 3 hour trip, after the first hour I could really feel it, after the second hour it really freakin hurt. For the last 30-40 minutes I had to pull off at EVERY exit and I was literally in tears, there was freakin liquid commin outta my freakin eyeballs Got rid of that POS as soon after that as possible.

Conversely Ive done a 1000+ mile Ironbutt ride in under 24 hours with my Mustang seat. My butt was the only thing that DIDNT hurt
